Chadar Trek: A Journey on Frozen River

Chadar Trek is one of the most adventurous and challenging treks in the world. It is a winter trek, which takes place in the Zanskar region of Ladakh, India. The word "Chadar" means a blanket, and the trek is named so because it involves walking on the frozen Zanskar River, which looks like a white blanket of snow. The trek begins from the village of Chilling and continues for approximately 65 kilometers, ending at the village of Nerak. The trek offers mesmerizing views of the mighty Himalayas and the frozen Zanskar River. It is a test of one's physical and mental strength as the temperature drops to as low as minus 30 degrees Celsius. Lientery: The trek starts from Leh, the capital city of Ladakh.
